Selection Techniques

  1. Many actions can be performed to more than one task at a time such as Copy/Paste, Delete, Replace Resources etc. The first thing you need to learn is how to select multiple tasks.

  2. When a summary task is selected, it and all its subtasks are selected. For example, the summary task Prototype Backpanel PCBA and all its subtasks are selected.
  3. Selected tasks are highlighted in cyan in the plan and orange in the Task Grid.

  4. Tasks can be selected/deselected in the plan or in the Task Grid.
  5. The Ctrl-key is used to select/deselect individual tasks.
  6. The Shift-key is used to select/deselect a range of tasks.
  7. The Alt-key can be used to select a summary task and none of its subtasks.
  8. All tasks can be deselected by clicking in the whitespace in the plan.
