Task Duration Rounding Behavior

 

  1. In Task Properties, a task's Duration is rounded to the nearest tenth of a day based on Work Per Day and Total Work. In this example, Total Work = 20 hours and Work Per Day = 3:00 hours, therefore Duration = 20/3 which = 6.667 days, therefore it is rounded to 6.7 days.

  2. In the Game Plan, partial day durations are rounded up to the nearest half-day. In this example, in Task Properties, the actual duration for the Layout task = 3.1 days. Since it would be hard to notice if the task were displayed as 3.1 days in the Game Plan, instead it is displayed as 3.5 days.
